Getting Started with MKFX Is Now Available
We are pleased to introduce Getting Started with MKFX, a new beginner course now available through the MKFX Academy.
The course was created to answer an important question for new members:
How do I actually use MKFX as part of my trading education?
MKFX provides more than Academy lessons. The platform brings together trading education, educational trading signals, market analysis, a Trading Journal, community features and additional tools depending on your membership.
Getting Started with MKFX teaches you how these different parts work together.
What Is MKFX?
MKFX is a trading education and market insights ecosystem powered by MKTECHSUPPORT (PTY) LTD.
It is important to understand that MKFX is not a broker. MKFX does not hold your trading funds or execute trades on your behalf.
Instead, the platform is designed to help members learn about trading, study market information, understand educational trading setups, record their activity and develop a more structured approach to the markets.
What Will You Learn?
Getting Started with MKFX contains 14 structured lessons covering the practical foundations a new MKFX member should understand.
1. Welcome to MKFX
Understand what MKFX is, what the platform provides and how its different tools fit together.
2. Setting Up Your MKFX Account
Learn about email verification, your profile, timezone, appearance settings, membership information and basic account security.
3. Understanding Your MKFX Membership
Understand the differences between Free, Pro and Elite membership access and how courses, signals, live sessions, certificates and support differ between plans.
4. Navigating the MKFX Dashboard
Explore the Academy, Trading Signals, Market Analysis, Trading Journal, Community, Membership, Notifications, Settings and Support areas.
5. Choosing a Broker
Learn what to consider when researching a broker, including regulation, jurisdiction, trading platforms, fees, spreads, account types, leverage, withdrawals and customer support.
MKFX does not require members to use one specific broker. Members should independently research providers and understand the terms that apply to them.
6. Demo vs Live Trading Accounts
Understand the difference between practising with virtual funds and trading with real money.
Beginners are encouraged to use a demo environment while becoming familiar with trading platforms, orders and risk management.
7. Broker Registration and Verification
Learn about common account-registration and identity-verification processes and why sensitive documents should only be submitted through legitimate, secure provider channels.
8. MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5
Get introduced to MT4 and MT5, including charts, symbols, Buy and Sell orders, volume, Stop Loss, Take Profit, pending orders, balance, equity and margin.
9. Understanding MKFX Trading Signals
Learn how to read an educational MKFX trading signal, including the instrument, direction, entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit, timeframe and signal status.
Most importantly, the course explains why a signal should be understood and reviewed rather than blindly copied.
10. Entering a Trading Setup in MetaTrader
See how information from a trading setup can be translated into the appropriate fields in MetaTrader while still applying your own risk considerations.
11. Understanding MKFX Market Analysis
Learn how market analysis can provide context around trends, support, resistance, market structure, breakouts, retests, invalidation and possible market scenarios.
12. Using the MKFX Trading Journal
Learn how to record your trading activity, including entries, exits, position sizes, results, reasons, mistakes and lessons.
A trading journal should not contain only winning trades. Losing trades and mistakes can provide some of the most useful information for reviewing your process.
13. Risk Management When Using Trading Signals
Learn why position size, Stop Loss distance, leverage, margin, combined exposure and trading behaviour all matter when considering risk.
An educational signal does not determine one universally appropriate lot size for every trader.
14. Your Next Step with MKFX
The final lesson brings the entire MKFX workflow together and helps you plan the next stage of your education.
The MKFX Learning Workflow
The course introduces a simple process:
LEARN → ANALYZE → PLAN → MANAGE RISK → PRACTISE OR EXECUTE → RECORD → REVIEW → LEARN AGAIN
The objective is not to become dependent on someone telling you when to Buy or Sell.
As your knowledge develops, you should gradually become better equipped to ask questions such as:
- What is happening in the market?
- Why is this setup being considered?
- Where is the risk?
- What would invalidate the trading idea?
- Does this setup fit my plan?
- What can I learn from the outcome?
Final Assessment
After completing the course, members can take the Getting Started with MKFX Final Assessment.
The assessment contains:
- 20 questions
- 20 total points
- 70% passing requirement
The assessment covers the MKFX platform, brokers, demo and live accounts, MetaTrader, trading signals, market analysis, journaling and risk management.
The purpose of the assessment is not simply to achieve a score. It is an opportunity to check whether you understand the concepts covered throughout the course.
Available on the Free Membership
Getting Started with MKFX is included with the MKFX Free membership.
The Free membership currently provides access to:
- 2 Academy courses
- Up to 2 daily educational trading signals
- Community access
This means new members can begin building their foundation without needing to purchase a paid membership first.
Pro and Elite memberships provide additional platform and Academy access for members who later want to continue into deeper material.
What Comes After the Beginner Courses?
The introductory courses are only the beginning of the MKFX Academy learning path.
Future and extended Academy material can explore subjects including:
- Price Action and Market Structure
- Support and Resistance
- Risk Management
- Trading Psychology
- Technical Analysis
- Gold Trading and XAU/USD

Members are encouraged not to rush through courses simply to mark them complete. Understanding and applying the concepts is more important than completing lessons as quickly as possible.
